Deco Maple Botanical Sugar Bowl

This one-of-a-kind stoneware lidded jar combines refined craftsmanship with delicate surface decoration—both a functional kitchen vessel and a small sculptural object.

Material & Process: Wheel-thrown stoneware, fired to 1245 °C / 2273 °F for strength and durability. The exterior combines terra sigillata and layered blue glazes, while the interior is fully glazed for easy, practical use. The jar features a freehand-cut lid with a small branch-like handle.

Design: A hand-carved magnolia is incised into the terra sigillata surface and filled with underglaze, creating fine line work and soft contrast. White Korean-inspired motifs bring additional movement and balance to the surface, complementing the deep blue glaze and natural imagery.

Uses: Ideal as a kitchen canister or sugar bowl, accompanied by a vintage spoon✨ thoughtfully shaped to nest within the jar. It also makes a unique wedding gift or one-of-a-kind art gift.
