Deco Stone 2-1 Orange Bamboo

This one-of-a-kind stoneware lidded jar brings together refined surface work and natural imagery—both a functional storage vessel and a quiet sculptural presence.

Material & Process: Wheel-thrown stoneware, fired to 1245 °C / 2273 °F for strength and durability. The exterior is finished with terra sigillata and layered glazes, while the interior is fully glazed for a smooth, practical surface. The jar features a freehand-cut lid with an added knob on top.

Design: A hand-carved bamboo is incised into the terra sigillata surface and filled with underglaze, creating delicate line work and subtle contrast. Orange accent motifs add warmth and rhythm across the surface, complementing the earthy tones and natural theme.

Uses: Ideal as a kitchen canister or covered storage jar, and also suitable as a small animal urn. It makes a thoughtful wedding gift or a unique, one-of-a-kind art piece for the home.
