Jellyfish Sculptural Vessel – Lidded Jar

This one-of-a-kind stoneware vessel combines functionality with sculptural artistry, making it a striking piece for both everyday use and display.

• Material & Process: Wheel-thrown from grog stoneware clay, fired to 1245 °C / 2273 °F for strength and durability. The lid is freehand cut, and the jellyfish form is sculptured with added tentacles and arms, then attached with care.

• Design Details: Hand-finished with a layered surface treatment using a mix of glaze, slip, and underglaze, creating depth, movement, and a sense of flowing life. The interior is fully glazed, while the exterior reveals both the texture of the clay and the dynamic surface effects.

• Capacity: Holds approximately 106 cubic inches – suitable for use as an urn for up to 106 lbs. body weight equivalent.
